AOL looking to leave? AOL Time Warner’s financial problems have raised the prospect that the media giant may drop off the Winston Cup tour as soon as its current contracts expire. The company’s stock has fallen from $39 a share to $12 during the past year. AOL and Time Warner merged in January 2001, but the new corporation has been in trouble for quite a while. AOL stock has fallen 70 percent since the merger. A new boss took over in May. Third quarter results are due Wednesday.(Winston Salem Journal).
