Horsepower Development team owner Mark Mancinelli has announced that he and BGNN driver Dave Davis will file an entry for the ARCA RE/Max series season opening Daytona 200at Daytona International Speedway February 8th. Davis from Denver, NC will pilot the #08 RaceRent.com Pontiac in his first start. Davis competed in last years Food World 300 at Talladega SuperSpeedway. Joel Garner of Jefferson GA will also be making his first trip down to Daytona in an effort to get valuable experience and track time in order to get his ARCA Speedway License. If successful in his licensing attempt, Garner will pilot the #07 HorsepowerDevelopment Chevy in February. Garner is a resident of Jefferson, GA and owner of Statewide Wrecker Service. He has competed in Sportsman, Pro-Trucks, and Super-Late-Model divisions over the past 5 years. HPD has acquired three of the Gibbs Racing Pontiac’s. One car for superspeedways, one for heavy downforce intermediate tracks and one for aero intermediate tracks. HorsepowerDevelopment specializes in engine development and motor leasing.
