NASCAR Plates Not Selling Well in SC: Sales have been sluggish for South Carolina NASCAR official license plates with NASCAR/a person’s favorite driver on them. The plates have been available since December 2nd and cost $94. Part of the fee goes to benefit the South Carolina Children’s Emergency Shelter Fund. So far, there have been 177 NASCAR plates sold in the state. The tags come with a driver’s name, car number and autograph.(WISTV.com)(12-30-2002)
