In another sign of the increasing impact of technology and physics on NASCAR, #21 Wood Brothers Racing welcomed its first full-time engineer this weekend. Jackie Mohrfeld, a 24-year-old mechanical engineering graduate of Purdue University, will help the Stuart, VA -based team by crunching numbers and running computer simulations on race weekends for the remainder of the season.( Richmond Times Dispatch )(4-13-2003)
