Sad News:

Leo “Mac” McCullough, injured April 18 when his car hit a wall head-on after a collision in a stock car race at Ocala (Fla.) Speedway, died May 9, according to news reports. He was 74. Since 1990, there have been at least 306 people killed in U.S. auto racing, according to an Observer study. He is at least the eighth person to die in 2003, and is the oldest driver in the newspaper’s study to die.
