Common Templates in 2004:

The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series will follow the lead of the Winston Cup Series and switch to a common-template body for all four manufacturers, starting next season. Toyota officials confirmed the plans for the rule change. Toyota is entering the series next year with the Tundra. The truck bodies will be identical from the firewall back. Each manufacturer will be allowed to have minor variations on the nose of the trucks to ensure brand identity, but the idea is to make the trucks aerodynamically equal and eliminate changes to the body specifications.(Dallas Morning News)(6-7-2003)
