NASCAR officials announced today that Richard A. Ren II, crew chief of the #29 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series team, has been fined $500 due to a rule infraction discovered last week at Texas Motor Speedway, prior to the O’Reilly 400K. During the event’s initial inspection process, the #29 Ford was found to have unapproved lug nuts. That was a violation of Section 12-4-Q of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series rulebook (parts and/or equipment used that do not conform to NASCAR rules) and Section 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing).(NASCAR PR)(6-11-2003)
