So three weeks ago, when NASCAR gave a thumbs up for Toyota’s new 358 cylinder heads for next year’s Truck tour, NASCAR also approved a brand new General Motors engine [R99], block and all – first for next year’s Truck tour and then for the Winston Cup tour when Toyota jumps in. And NASCAR has told Ford to get cracking and come up with some new engine stuff, too.
