Students in Greenville Technical College’s new McKinney Regional Automotive Technology Center will be involved in some “hands-on” motorsports activities this year as a result of an agreement between the school and the United Speed Alliance Racing motorsports series. Students in the Greenville Tech program are scheduled to attend one or more of several USAR races this summer and will be paired with a series official, track official or race team member to learn about the operations of a race weekend. “We are very honored to be involved in this unique educational partnership with Greenville Technical College,” said Tony Cox, USAR’s director of operations.( Greenville News )(6-18-2003)
