Coke Rethinking?

Coca-Cola officials may be rethinking their NASCAR marketing plans, according to sources. The Atlanta-based company, with profits growing, has been marketing under the logo ‘the Coca-cola family of racers,’ with tie-ins to half a dozen Winston Cup stars. It is unclear if Coke might now want to focus on a single-car sponsorship. At least four car owners are looking for such a car sponsorship, Teresa Earnhardt, Jack Roush, Rick Hendrick and Jim Smith.( Winston Salem Journal )(8-2-2003)
