Army offers free diversions at track:

The Army has a sprawling display among the vendors near the Pyramid shopping complex along the Watkins Glen International infield. A tank, helicopter and race car simulators, a pit crew challenge, combat games and marksmanship competitions are part of the setup, free of charge. “A lot of it’s for fun,” said Steve Ingo, 45, who travels the NASCAR circuit with the Army. “It also doubles as a recruiting station.” The booth will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.( Star Gazette )(8-8-2003)
