A television scheduling conflict involving NASCAR and college football will occur during the first weekend of the season. On Aug. 30, NBC will air the Busch Series Winn Dixie 200 live from Darlington beginning at 2 p.m. However, Columbia NBC affiliate WIS-10 is obligated by contract to carry the Mississippi-Vanderbilt football game at 12:30 p.m. WIS will join the race in progress at approximately 3:45 p.m. NASCAR fans can catch the race from beginning to end on Time Warner cable channel 10 in Columbia and Florence.
