Baseball Hall of Famer and NASCAR Busch Series owner Reggie Jackson made a surprise visit to Kansas Speedway on Saturday morning. Well, it was surprising to one speedway security guard, at least. “He entered the Busch Series garage area without a credential and a female security guard wasnt pleased. She stood outside the Herzog Jackson Motorsports hauler, waiting for Jackson to emerge. Im giving him 5 minutes, she said. If he doesnt come out, Im turning him in. I dont care who he is. Nothing came of the incident. Jackson wasnt staying, anyway. He just wanted to meet briefly with team co-owner Randy Herzog, before departing for the Twins-Yankees playoff game in Minneapolis. Weve got some very interested sponsors were entertaining this weekend, and obviously I felt it was very important to be here, Jackson said.
