The Southern New York Racing Association came up big for the Victory Junction Gang Camp at their annual reunion. For the second straight year, the Reunion Committee chose Victory Junction as their charity of choice. This year, SNYRA raised $45,000 for the Victory Junction Gang Camp, a camp for kids with life- threatening and chronic illnesses. SNYRA was formed in the mid-1940s as a group of individuals who had a passion for racing but they have continued through the years to also display a passion for charity. On September 28, 2003, the group held its annual reunion in Danbury, Connecticut. The event was filled to the brim with good will and classic cars, all with the goal of helping to make a dream come true in North Carolina. Millie Godfrey, chair of the Reunion Committee, presented SNYRAs donation to Pattie Petty at Lowes Motor Speedway in Charlotte, North Carolina on October 10th. Their generous donation to Victory Junction makes SNYRA a member of the 45 Club.( Victory Junction Gang Camp PR )(10-30-2003)
