The rising popularity of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series combined with the continuing growth of the consumer truck and sport utility vehicle tire markets has prompted The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company to take its Wrangler brand to the track for the 2004 season. Although the truck series will race on Wrangler brand tires Goodyear will provide a means of converting tires with the Eagle name to Wrangler, and vice versa, at the company’s race tire warehouse facility in Concord, N.C. That will allow truck teams to continue the practice of racing on tires that are purchased by Nextel Cup and Busch series teams in 2004, but not used by them.(Goodyear PR)(11-15-2003)
