Zippy’s Crusade:

Old Forge, New York is a quiet and tranquil little town in the Northern area of Central New York. That small town will come to life on the weekend of January 23 and 24, as the second annual Zippy’s Crusade for Kids comes to town. Greg and Nan Zipadelli are the hosts for the fundraiser, which will take place over the course of the weekend. Greg is the 2002 Winston Cup winning crew chief, as he directed Tony Stewart to the NASCAR Winston Cup championship. His wife Nan, grew up and went to school in in the area, and later pursued her college education at the scenic lakeside college of Oswego State. One of her first jobs was a school teacher in the Town of Webb. Last years event proved to be a rousing success, raising $70,000 for kids. The Crusade donated $30,000 to The Children’s Miracle Network in June, $10,000 to The Berkshire Farm Center and Services for Youth in July, and $30,000 to Victory Junction Gang in October of this year.
