The launch of Torquespeed’s USA operation was officially announced at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in North Carolina in October 2003, and as the first ever British owned team to race at the top level of NASCAR [in partnership with Travis Carter and the #66 team]. The team has settled into their shop in Statesvile, NC. Driver John Mickel, who underwent a seat fitting in October, has had his seat delivered to the Torquespeed Carter Workshops in North Carolina recently and has a car ready for testing.
