During the announcement of the new plan, at the NASCAR research-and-development center in Concord, a television reporter covering the event collapsed, apparently as a result of a seizure. Among those attending to him was NASCAR vice president Paul Brooks, a onetime paramedic.(Gaston Gazette), Speed Channel reported the reporter as being OK and leaving under their own power.(1-21-2004)
