UPDATE 2: Robbie Loomis, crew chief for Jeff Gordon, was back at Lowe’s Motor Speedway Saturday. He missed qualifying Friday to be in Daytona Beach, Fla., with his 67-year-old mother Sally, who is suffering from complications of a pancreas disorder. “She’s also had several blood clots and experienced some other problems, too,” Loomis said. “She’s doing better, but she’s got a long road to go.
