After two weeks of anticipation following the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event, 20-year old Brad Keselowski received approval from NASCAR to compete this weekend at the Dover International Speedway in the MBNA America 200. Keselowski, who will make his third career NCTS start this weekend, ran second to series veteran, Ted Musgrave, through much of the Mansfield event before finishing in the 16th position. Keselowski also competed in the Martinsville event where he finished 33rd completing nearly all the laps in the event. The NASCAR approval process for drivers required Keselowski to compete to NASCAR’s satisfaction at a half-mile race before allowing him to compete on a one-mile track. In order to further his approval for Dover, Keselowski also competed in the ARCA RE/MAX Series event last weekend at the 1.5-mile Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Charlotte where he spent much of the evening running in the top ten before a blown tire forced him to pit and take a 17th place finish. K Automotive has a string of solid finishes at the Dover International Speedway over the past three seasons earning two top ten finishes and an 11th place finish. This race will be different from the previous three years in that the team will be more focused on getting laps in for the youngest Keselowski and bringing the #29 K Automotive Ford back to Michigan intact.(LM Motorsports Marketing PR)(6-3-2004)
