NASCAR’s next technical challenge is to develop computer software and hardware to provide its teams on pit road with the new freeze-the-field scoring information from the loop system. NASCAR’s Mike Helton said last week the new system would be used to set the field at the yellow. However, teams say they have no scoring monitors to tell them what the field should look like.
