Deborah Renshaw will make her NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut at next weekends Built Ford Tough 225 at the Kentucky Speedway in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky. Renshaw, a 28-year old native of Bowling Green, Kentucky will be piloting the #29 K Automotive Ford F-150 owned by Bob and Kay Keselowski. This event will mark Renshaws first career start in one of the top three NASCAR divisions. The 1.5-mile Kentucky Speedway has become something of a home track to Renshaw who made her ARCA RE/MAX Series debut at the same race track three years ago. Renshaw turned heads during that debut qualifying in the seventh position and finishing an impressive eighth. Renshaw will have the experience of Bob Keselowski, team owner and former NCTS driver, serving as crew chief along with Brad Keselowski, who has piloted the No. 29 Ford in seven events this season and also serves as team engineer. Renshaw previously competed in the ARCA RE/MAX Series where she made nine starts in the series and earned three top ten finishes and six top ten starts. Renshaw fielded eight entries for Bob Schacht Motorsports and one with Montgomery Motorsports. Renshaw made her mark in the world of motorsports when she became the first female driver to lead the points race of a NASCAR-sanctioned series while competing in the Late Model Stock Cars at the Fairgrounds Speedway in Nashville, Tennessee.(LM Motorsports Marketing)(7-3-2004)
AND By starting this weeks event, Deborah Renshaw (No. 29 Motion Dealer Services Ford) will be the seventh different female to compete in a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event and fourth of 2004.
