Nineteen year old Casey Kingsland will once again attempt to make his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut at the Power Stroke Diesel 200 on Friday night August 6th at Indianapolis Raceway Park with primary sponsorship from the Langer Juice Company. Last year, Kingsland was set to debut in this same race with another team, however after only logging eighteen laps of practice and attempting to overcome a host of other problems with the truck, young Casey struck out and failed to qualify for the race. Opportunities to qualify for other races later in the 2003 season dried up when the team closed up shop two weeks after making the trip to Indianapolis Raceway Park. Prospects look brighter this season as Kingsland has joined forces with DCCS Motorsports to pilot the #55 Langer Juices Dodge Ram. DCCS Motorpsorts is a brand new team being built from the ground up with the young Las Vegas native as the centerpiece of the team. Based in Jacksonville, Florida, the new team is a partnership between first time owner David Cushner and former Craftsman Truck Series driver Tommy Powers. Cushner, a first time owner in the NCTS has spent the previous ten years in sponsorship acquisition for other NASCAR and Indy Racing League series teams. Also on board will be Tommy Powers “JR” who will be the crew chief for the #55 Dodge Ram. DCCS Motorsports plans to enter ten of the last twelve races of the 2004 NCTS series schedule. Six of the races will feature Kingsland as he seeks to gain NASCAR approval to run Daytona and the entire 2005 season to vie for Raybestos Rookie of the Year honors. The balance of the season will see a variety of veteran drivers from all different motor sports series take the helm of the #55 Dodge. The primary sponsor for DCCS Motorsports is the Langer Juice Company which is located in Southern California. Langer is a producer of beverages in many high volume categories including apple, cranberry, grape, citrus and tropical blends. Associate sponsors include Gozing.com (a cell phone provider), CLD Enterprises and more to be announced soon.(PR)(7-30-2004)
