Terry and Amy East Cook To Have A Family Addition:

Terry and Amy East Cook announced there will be an addition to the Cook family. East Cook is expected to give birth to a boy in early December. The Cooks have yet to decide on a name for their first child, however, are readily preparing their North Carolina home for their new addition. Cook is a successful and well-noted driver of the No. 10 Ford Power Stroke Diesel by International race truck. He is employed at ppc Racing based in Mooresville, N.C., competing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Cook has been married to Amy East for three years and met her early during the 1999 racing season. East Cook is expected to give birth on December 14th, just eight days after the young couple’s anniversary. “After two years of trying to start a family, our wish has come true,” said East Cook. “It only seems natural that our little boy will be raised at a race track just like Terry and I were.” East Cook currently works as a broadcaster for ESPN covering various motorsports series. She was employed as a pit reporter from 1999 thru 2002 with ESPN in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series while Cook competed as a race car driver. The two began dating after meeting at Homestead-Miami (Fla.) Speedway; Cook later proposed the following year. They wedded in December 6, 2000 and recently relocated to the Charlotte, N.C. area in 2004.(ppc Racing PR)(7-30-2004)
