hearing that ARCA Series Driver Jennifer Jo Cobb (coming off back-to-back top-10 finishes at Nashville and Kansas) has been in discussions with Busch Team Owner Jay Robinson about replacing Tina Gordon in the #39 Yahoo! sponsored Ford Taurus, after the California Busch Race this weekend. Supposedly Robinson plans to part company with Tina Gordon after California anyway. Cobb could be in the car as soon as Dover.
UPDATE: Team sources deny that Gordon will be replaced.(BGNRacing.com)
AND from Jay Robinson Racing: “We have no comment concerning Tina’s future with the team. She will be driving at California. As for Jennifer Jo Cobb, we have had no conversation with her and as of now, no future plans with her.”(9-1-2004)
