Scott Lynch will drive the #61 Orleans Dodge in the Las Vegas 350 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Sept. 25, Orleans Racing officials announced Sept. 15. Orleans Racing, which is located in Las Vegas, also will field the #62 Orleans Dodge driven by Steve Park at the team’s hometown event. Lynch, 24, drives the #08 Yerf-Dog Dodge for Orleans Racing in the NASCAR Grand National Division, West Series. He has two starts in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, both for Orleans Racing. He finished 12th at Las Vegas and Homestead last year. Lynch joined Orleans Racing last year as a rookie in what was then known as the NASCAR Winston West Series. He won the series championship and rookie-of-the-year honors. As a result, he was invited to join Tommy Baldwin’s Hungry Driver’s Program in the NASCAR Busch Series. His first of three Busch Series starts in 2004 came in May at Richmond where he finished 39th after an accident. Orleans Racing’s West Series team members will serve as the crew for the #61 entry. Robert Strmiska, 22, is the crew chief. It will be his first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race as crew chief. His previous truck experience came as the truck chief and tire changer on the #62.
