UPDATE: Clean Line Motorsports has begun a partnership with Toyota and the Toyota Tundra throughout the 2005 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season. The organization fields the #38 truck of driver Brandon Whitt, who just completed a successful rookie campaign in the Craftsman Truck Series. “This is obviously an exciting day for everyone involved with this program here at Clean Line,” said Marty Gaunt, general manager of Clean Line Motorsports. “To join a manufacturer like Toyota and to benefit from their partnership is a huge step in the right direction for this race team. When you think about what Toyota did in their first season in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, it’s pretty amazing. We’re excited to be a part of that in 2005 and beyond.”
“I can’t wait to start testing at Daytona,” said Whitt, who will begin his second season in the Craftsman Truck Series in 2005. “The manner in which Toyota entered the NCTS in 2004 impressed a lot of folks. They created a lot of excitement in the series and that’s something we want to be a part of. It’s a great day for Clean Line Motorsports and we’re absolutely thrilled to have Toyota on board.”
“We are pleased to be able to expand our program to include Brandon,” said Pat Wall, vice president and manager of Toyota’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series program. “He’s an impressive young driver with a big future.”(Williams Company PR)(12-15-2004)
