UPDATE – Tickets going fast: Tickets are going fast for the inaugural NASCAR NEXTEL Pit Crew Challenge on Thursday, May 19! The event will begin at 7:00pm/et on Thursday the 19th with special parking lot activities including driving simulators and souvenir haulers starting at 4:30pm/et. Tickets for the event are available for $10; children under 12 will be admitted free. Tickets for the NASCAR NEXTEL Pit Crew Challenge can be purchased through Ticketmaster, at Lowe’s Motor Speedway website www.lowesmotorspeedway.com, at each stop of the NASCAR NEXTEL All-Star Challenge Trophy Tour or by calling (800) 455-FANS. There is free parking for all fans.
Eligible Teams: A total of 24 teams are eligible to compete in Thursdays event at the Charlotte Coliseum the teams qualified for Saturdays NASCAR NEXTEL All-Star Challenge, plus the team that won last years NEXTEL Open [#40 Team], a preliminary race to the all-star challenge for teams without wins in the previous and current seasons; the team of the NEXTEL Open competitor last year who made the big race via a fan vote [#49-Schrader], and other teams eligible for the event based on current owner points.
