REVISED:

yes…about 45 minutes after the Pocono 500 at Pocono Raceway, NASCAR revised the finishing order, pretty much from 5th thru 11th. #6-Martin was originally credited with UNOFFICIALLY finishing 5th and #42-McMurray 11th. After NASCAR reviewed the video and the scoring loops, the unofficial finishing order was revised and released, with #15-Waltrip moving up to 5th, #48-Johnson to 6th [and adding 4 points to his lead] and Martin back to 7th [cut down a right rear tire before the final yellow was thrown]. #2-Wallace was originally credited with 10h, but the revised order had him 11th and McMurray up to 10th. Is this normal? sure, NASCAR follows these procedures every week and usually around 12:00noon/et every Monday, the Official Results/Standings are posted, sometimes drivers may switch a position, usually the unofficial results mirror the official results. That is why most of my stats pages are not updated until Monday or Tuesday.(6-13-2005)
