Jeff Burton takes the Bud Pole this afternoon at Chicagoland Speedway for Sunday’s USG Sheetrock 400 and it’s his second top-spot of the season. Burton led us to the green at Daytona for the 500 in February, and this will be the 4th time in his NEXTEL Cup career he’s paced the field to the start.
Brian Vickers will start alongside. This is his best starting spot since he had the pole at New Hampshire last July.
Dave Blaney (15th) has his best starting spot since he lined up 14th at Martinsville in April.
Scott Wimmer (28th) has his best starting spot since he timed in 27th at Homestead last November.
