Benson wins the New Hampshire 200:

Johnny Benson is on a roll — J.B.’s win at NHIS makes it four wins in the last nine races. Benson also led the most laps at 145 and gained 30 points on Todd Bodine in the championship standings. Mike Skinner came on strong at the end of the race to pick up second place. Kyle Busch finished third driving Billy Ballew’s #15; points leader, Todd Bodine was fourth, with David Starr having a good run winding up in fifth place. Champ Series driver A.J. Allmendinger had a respectable day for his first start, finishing in 13th after having to go to a backup truck and starting from the 32nd position. There were a record number of cautions for the day; 12 for 50 laps. There 8 lead changes among 4 drivers. Of note; there have been eleven different winners in the Truck Series at New Hampshire International Speedway.(9-16-2006)
