After starting the #60 Con-way Freight Toyota from the pole, Jack Sprague picked up the win for the Kroger 200 at Martinsville Speedway; his second win of the season. This was Sprague’s first win at Martinsville and his 27th win in his Truck Series career. Race leader, Ted Musgrave, was black-flagged late in the race for an inappropriate restart enabling Sprague to take the lead and pick up the win. David Starr (#11-Red Horse Racing Toyota) winner of the spring race, was the fastest truck on the track at the end of the race, came on strong but was unable to make a run on the leader. Starr finished second. Johnny Benson picked up points on championship leader Todd Bodine(14th) and is now only 79 points out of first place. Rounding out the top five were #99 Erik Darnell, #6 Mark Martin, with the #23 of Johnny Benson finishing in 5th place. There were 12 cautions for 67 laps.
