Clint Bowyer wins the Silverado 350 at Texas Motor Speedway:

Clint Bowyer started from the pole position, picked up his first win in three starts driving the #46 Morgan-Dollar Motorsports Chevy at Texas. A green-white-checkered finish saw the second place finisher, #15-Kyle Busch trying to make a run on Bowyer, but came up short. Mike Skinner, who lost momentum after being run down in the grass while trying to overtake Bowyer with about 30 laps to go, came back to finish third. Skinner’s 3rd place finished clinched the manufacturers championship for Toyota–their first. Jack Sprague in the #60 Con-Way Freight Toyota finished fourth, and the #33 of Ron Hornaday, coming back from a lap down, finished fifth. It looks like Todd Bodine can’t be beat in the points battle. Once again Johnny Benson had a chance to pick up points on Bodine, but a blown engine late in the race relegated him to a 31st place finish. After starting from the rear, Bodine was moving up through the pack when he was hit in the rear, bending his exhaust, causing him to both lose power and handling. He hung on to finish 14th and is now 137 points ahead of Benson. First out of the race was the #98 team with driver Erin Crocker after losing an engine just half a lap into the race. There were 2 lead changes among 2 drivers and 7 cautions for 30 laps.(11-3-2006)
