Bill Davis Racing has announced that Trip Bruce will serve as the crew chief for Johnny Benson and the #23 Toyota in the Truck Series. Bruce has worked for a combination of several NASCAR teams, including Richard Childress Racing, Ultra Motorsports and Bill Davis Racing. His first stint at BDR lasted from 1999 to 2003, during which time he served as car chief on the #22 car for fellow Virginian, Ward Burton. Since 2005, Bruce has been employed by Evernham Motorsports. Being away from Bill Davis Racing for the last few years, Bruce is ready to join forces once more with Bill Davis and driver Johnny Benson in competing for the 2007 Craftsman Truck Series Championship.
