Nextel Cup teams will run the same Goodyear tire code (D-4110) on all four tire positions at Watkins Glen International this weekend . . . this is the same tire code that Goodyear brought to the Nextel Cup Series’ other road course race at Infineon Raceway in June . . . this code is also run on the right-side at Martinsville . . . this is the first time this tire has been run at Watkins Glen . . . Busch Series teams will run a different tire code (D-4112) this weekend . . . as on all NASCAR road courses, teams will not run inner liners in their tires at Watkins Glen. The estimated pit window for the Cup teams is every 30-32 laps, based on fuel mileage. Busch Series teams will run the same tire code (D-4112) on all four tire positions at Watkins Glen International this weekend . . . this is Goodyear’s road course tire for the Busch Series in 2007, and is slightly different than that run on the NASCAR Nextel Cup cars . . . Busch teams have run this tire at Mexico City earlier this season and at Montreal last weekend . . .Goodyear will bring 600 wet weather tires (D-5648) to Watkins Glen this weekend, in case NASCAR decides to run in rainy conditions . . . as on all NASCAR road courses, teams will not run inner liners in their tires at Watkins Glen.(Goodyear PR), for the full notes, codes and pressures, see my Watkins Glen Race Info page.(8-10-2007)
