The last time a Cup race was run on a Tuesday was not Aug. 11, 1970 at International Raceway Park in Ona, W.Va. BUT on July 4, 1978 when the Firecracker 400 was run at Daytona International Speedway. The race back then was always run on July 4th, no matter what day of the week it fell on.(8-21-2007)
