This is the first time that Goodyear has brought this specific combination of left- and right-side tires that to the track . . . this is the same right-side tire code (D-4098) that Goodyear ran at Bristol in March and twice at Pocono this summer . . . this left-side code (D-4118) is brand new to the Goodyear tire lineup . . . it has a slightly tougher tread compound than the previous left-side run at Bristol, primarily due to the brand new, concrete racing surface . . . unlike on other NASCAR ovals less than one mile in length, where no inner liners are run, teams are required to run inner liners in their right-side tires at Bristol . . . air pressure in those inner liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire. The estimated pit window is every 130-140 laps, based on fuel mileage (Nextel Cup).(Goodyear PR), see the full report, pressures and more on my Bristol Next Race Info page.(8-24-2007)
