This is the same tire set-up that Goodyear brought to California in February . . . this exact combination of left- and right-side tires has also been run by both Nextel Cup and Busch Series teams at Dover and Michigan in 2007 . . . in addition, Busch teams ran this combination at Kentucky in June . . .teams have also run this left-side code (D-4078) with a slightly different right side at Texas and Chicagoland earlier this season . . . as on all NASCAR ovals greater than one mile in length, teams are required to run inner liners in all four tire positions at California . . . air pressure in those inner liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire. The Goodyear blimp “Spirit of America” will be covering both NASCAR races at California Speedway this weekend. The estimated pit window for the Nextel Cup cars are every 40-44 laps, based on fuel mileage.(Goodyear PR), see full Notes, pressures and codes on my California Race Info page.(8-31-2007)
