Two Sprint Cup teams will conduct a tire test Tuesday and Wednesday at Texas Motor Speedway, a Goodyear spokesman confirmed today. #42-Juan Pablo Montoya and #07-Clint Bowyer will participate in the two-day test. Goodyear wants to come up with a tire that’s suitable for the track, where NASCAR”s new car will be raced for the first time this year.(SceneDaily.com)(1-15-2008) UPDATE: #07-Clint Bowyer was certainly pleased with his team’s effort Tuesday after day one of a two day Goodyear tire test at Texas Motor Speedway. “We were fast”, said Bowyer. “I ran a 29 flat so that’s still getting off in the corner over 200 miles per hour. In turn one I looked over at the board and it said 200.” The bad news was the Jack Daniels Chevrolet lost a motor. Bowyer said; “It looked to me like the oil pan broke. There was a piece of piston on the back straightaway so it (chuckling) grenaded.” #42-Juan Pablo Montoya also tested with Bowyer.
