Nine Nationwide Series teams in the top 30 in owners points from 2007 have swapped points with other teams in deals approved by NASCAR. Points from Robert Yates Racings #90, which finished 19th in the owners standings last year, were sold to the #7 Germain Racing team driven by Mike Wallace. The points from the #7 Phoenix Racing team were sold to the #4 of Jay Robinson Racing, the #25 of Team Rensi Motorsports were sold to the #64 Rusty Wallace Racing team, and the points from the #36 of McGill Motorsports were sold to the #24 Front Row Motorsports team for Eric McClure. That guarantees starting spots in the first five races of 2008 for Wallace, McClure and the #64 and 4 teams, both of which will use multiple drivers this season. The other six teams swapped points among teammates: The #21 Richard Childress Racing teams points will go to the #2 (driven full time by Clint Bowyer), with the #2s points going to the #21. The #35 Team Rensis points will switch to the #25 to be driven by Bobby Hamilton Jr., Braun Racings #10 will be used by the teams #32 and Chip Ganassi Racings #42 will be used by its #40 team.(SceneDaily.com)(2-14-2008)
