32 cars finished on the lead lap at Daytona on Sunday, the most ever for a 500 mile oval race in Sprint Cup [the old record was the 2006 Daytona 500 at 31, there were 35 at Indy in 2005, 37 at Michigan in a rained shortened race [June 2006] and 34 for a road cource [2005].
