California Goodyear Tire Notes:

Teams in all three NASCAR series will be running the same tire codes at California Speedway this weekend, though the Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series tires will be branded “Goodyear Eagle,” while those for the Craftsman Truck Series will be branded “Goodyear Wrangler” . . . this is the first time that Goodyear has brought either of theses two tire codes to the race track . . . as on all NASCAR ovals greater than one mile in length, teams are required to run inner liners in all four tire positions at California . . . air pressure in those inner liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire. The estimated Sprint Cup pit window is every 40-44 laps, based on fuel mileage.(Goodyear PR), see the California Race Info Page for tire codes and pressures.(2-22-2008) .
