MC2 Energy Drink Racing announced that it will field a Nationwide Series entry at seven events [ORP, Richmond, Kansas, Lowe’s Memphis, Texas, and Homestead]. The company signed driver Garrett Liberty to a contract to drive the MC2 Energy Drink Racing Dodge with MC2 Energy Drink as the Primary Sponsor. Team president Ronald Serota stated, “We are pleased to be able to give the team time to gel this season by running Garrett in these seven events. We will run a fulltime Nationwide Series program in 2009 with two entries, and we have a variety of outstanding primary and associate sponsorship opportunities available.”(MC2/NOVUS Enterprises PR), MC2 was the sponsor of the #81 team for a handful of events earlier in the year.(6-25-2008)
