Martinsville marked Jimmie Johnson’s 13th career victory in the Chase. No one has squandered a lead of 149 points in the final four races since the Chase was implemented in 2004. However, in 1992, Bill Elliott led Alan Kulwicki by 144 with four races remaining, but Kulwicki managed to come from third to first in the standings. Elliott had led then-runnerup Davey Allison by 67.(NASCAR This Week)(10-24-2008)
