California Qualifying Fast Facts:

* Brian Vickers won the Coors Light Pole Award for the Auto Club 500 with a lap of 39.250 seconds, 183.439 mph.
This is his sixth pole in 174 Sprint Cup Series races.
This is Vickers third pole on a two-mile track. He won the pole for the 2004 fall race at Auto Club Speedway as well as at Michigan International Speedway last August. Vickers has started from the front row at Auto Club Speedway on three previous occasions.
This is his second pole in 11 races at Auto Club Speedway.
(second) posted his second top-10 start of 2009 and his eighth in 13 races at Auto Club Speedway. This is the eighth time Johnson as started from the front row at Auto Club Speedway. He was the pole-sitter for both of last years races.
Jamie McMurray (third) posted his first top-10 start at Auto Club Speedway. McMurrays best previous Auto Club Speedway start was 12th in the spring of 2004. It is his first top-10 start in two races this season.
Scott Speed (ninth) was the fastest qualifying rookie.
