#48-Jimmie Johnson led all the laps in the 1st segment of the All-Star Race at Lowe’s Motor Speedway with #2-Busch 2nd, followed by #24-Gordon, #5-Martin and #18-Busch. During the mandatory pit stop on lap 25, #16-Biffle was sent to the rear of the field for speeding on pit road. Towards the end of the segment, #39-Newman got lapped as he has a broken suspension part but got the lucky dog pass [lap back]. After the optional pitstop the top five will start segment 2 as #19=Busch, #17-Kenseth, #26-McMurray, #77-Hornish Jr. and #48-Johnson.(5-16-2009)
