Pit Stall Selections at ORP were made last week at Gateway following qualifying there. That’s why #88-Brad Keselowski had the first stall (he was on the pole at Gateway). Why is it done that way? Because ORP doesn’t have garage stalls. Teams work on the cars right on pit road. To save them time, stalls are selected the previous week, then teams come into the track on Saturday morning, set up their pits, and stay there all day. In another twist for the teams this weekend, because of the rain at the track over the past few days, the haulers were kept outside of the track during the day, except to pull in first thing in the morning and unload. If teams needed anything from the haulers they had to leave the infield.(7-26-2009)
