Recently, Richmond International Raceway President Doug Fritz placed the currently locked in drivers to the 2009 Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Championship on the wall. In addition, after next weeks race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Fritz will finish out the decals with the remaining locked in drivers and those on the bubble leading into the 26th race of the season at Richmond International Raceway. On race weekend, fans and drivers will notice the driver numbers on the track wall in Turns 1, 2 and 3, as well as on the frontstretch and backstretch aprons, reflecting who is in and who is on the bubble leading into the 26th race of the season. The Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup culminates at Richmond International Raceway on Saturday, September 12, at the Chevy Rock & Roll 400One Last Race to Make the Chase. Once the checkered flag flies, the field will be set for the series championship.
