Richmond Tire Notes:

Teams in both the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series will run the same tire codes at Richmond this week . . . this is the same combination of left- and right-side tires that teams in these two series ran at Richmond in May . . . these teams also ran this exact tire set-up at Phoenix earlier this season . . . additionally, this left-side tire code (D-4238) has run by Cup and Nationwide teams at New Hampshire, and by Nationwide teams at Milwaukee and O’Reilly Raceway Park . . . as on most NASCAR ovals one mile or less in length, teams will not run inner liners in their tires at Richmond. The estimated pit window is every 90-100 laps, based on fuel mileage (Sprint Cup).(Goodyear), see full notes, tire pressures, tire codes on my Richmond Race Info page – Goodyear section.(9-12-2009)
