Kansas Tire Notes:

Teams in NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series will be running the same combination of left- and right-side tires at Kansas this weekend . . . this is the same tire combination that teams in these two series ran at Kansas last season . . . this tire set-up is run at just one other NASCAR track — California Speedway . . . as on all NASCAR ovals greater than one mile in length, teams are required to run inner liners in all four tire positions at Kansas . . . air pressure in those inner liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire. The estimated pit window is every 50-55 laps, based on fuel mileage (Goodyear PR), see tire pressures, codes, tires supplied on my Kansas Race Info page – Tire Notes section.(10-2-2009)
